I didn’t expect Tangier to have this much history packed into one day, but it surprised me in the best way. We started at the Phoenician Tombs, carved into cliffs over the sea, quiet, raw, and older than most civilizations you read about. Then Cape Spartel where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean. You can actually see the waters shift if you stand there long enough. The Medina was pure everyday Tangier. Narrow lanes, local shops, no rush. Grand Socco felt like the city’s heartbeat, chaotic, alive, and constantly moving. And the Kasbah, calm above it all, with views that make you slow down without trying. If you’re planning Tangier, this route makes sense geographically and time-wise, and it shows you both the history and the real city.
