Do not miss this waterfall in Iceland 🇮🇸 With over 10,000 waterfalls in the country, Dettifoss still manages to steal the show. The sheer volume, the raw force, the sound. Standing close, you’ll be soaked in minutes. It’s hard to believe something this powerful actually exists. How to reach Dettifoss: • Located in North Iceland, inside Vatnajökull National Park • Drive via Route 862 (paved, easiest access) to the west side viewpoint • Or take Route 864 for a rougher road and closer edge views • Best visited between May–September when roads are open • Parking available, followed by a short walk to the viewpoints Trust me, this one needs to be felt, not just seen.
