Welcome to my tour stop. I am reading David Baldacci 's latest book "Nash Falls". Walter Nash, a decent guy with a business mindset, he is an expert in nonsense, stupid shit like money- as his father said, living a steady, straight forward, honest life, and his tidiness makes him boring contrasting to his wife's taste. His inclination to a thrilling job started at a clandestine meeting with an FBI agent in his own back side porch. It's a slow burn thriller which is very slow like tv serials. Most of the book is portrayed like family drama with characters and predictable twists. Honestly I am missing the old baldacci style character dynamic, the sharp edge of chapters, the deeply engraved roots, the high voltage thrill, the tightness of suspense, but this still has something. It delicately peels off the relationship between father and son, the emotional depths is something that I am enjoying now. As I said, it's slow burn, I am waiting for the final twist..
