A 7–8 hour journey passing through the breathtaking Swiss Alps … for best views sit on the right side🏔️ If you have a Eurail Pass or Swiss Travel Pass, you can use it on the Glacier Express almost for free( much lesser price) Normally, ticket prices are: • 272 CHF (1st class) • 159 CHF (2nd class) important things to keep in mind 👇 🌲 Seat Reservation & Meals While your Eurail/Swiss Pass covers the train fare, you must make a seat reservation for the Glacier Express. You can do this online via Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) or at a Swiss train station. I booked my tickets from glacierexpress.ch website. 👉 Seat reservation + meals cost around 98 CHF 💰 Total Cost Breakdown 👉 Without pass: 272 + 98 = 370 CHF (approx ₹36,000 INR) 👉 With Swiss/Eurail Pass: Only 98 CHF total (around ₹11’000) I used my Swiss pass for this ride, and here’s a step-by-step guide to help you 👇 1️⃣ Check the schedule Look up the Glacier Express timings on the SBB website or at any Swiss train station. 2️⃣ Make a reservation Book your seat online or at the station. You’ll need your Eurail Pass number and to pay the reservation fee. 3️⃣ Validate your Swiss Pass Make sure your pass is activated and valid for the travel day before boarding. 4️⃣ Enjoy the ride soak in the most stunning views of the Swiss Alps 🤍 ⚠️Important Tip Paying for a seat reservation is NOT the same as buying a ticket. You must have a valid pass or route ticket along with your reservation.
