We exhausted our transportation budget in Sri Lanka within the first 3 days. Eating out and staying in hotels was actually cheaper than getting around. Autos and taxis for short distances are unpredictable…(we used Pick me n Uber applications… most of the times drivers didn’t accept the rides or took longer than usual) You wait in the heat, they quote one price, then ask for more on arrival…If you refuse, you’re back to standing under the sun waiting again…. Dehydrated n exhausted In many areas, autos don’t even allow taxis to enter…(Auto Mafia system) So you’re left with no option but to pay whatever they demand. We only used taxis for intercity travel after that…. So if you are coming here during this time be prepared 🫶 Also this reel is for people like me who are completely dependent on taxis n autos… I don’t rent cars or scooters while traveling to other countries…… the video was taken 4 days ago….
