Day 1 –arrived in Colombo at 3 am…checked into Hotel Mirage,(₹4500/-)with a pool overlooking the Indian Ocean n train track views 🌊 Next morning..did Gangaramaya Buddha temple… breakfast at Kumbuk Café(veg) Then took a train from Colombo Fort to Galle…one of the most scenic train rides (ocean views) From Galle station.. took 10 minutes to our stay“ backpack beach hostel n Reggae bar” We ended the day with a beautiful sunset at Ragee Bar.. just ₹1500 per night for couple (good room) Day 2 – spent the day exploring Galle Fort …the lighthouse, charming lanes, local markets, and cute cafés. Also did the famous Dalawella Swing🌴 In evening….headed to Mirissa (40 min) and checked into Banana Bunks, which has the popular Peti Peti Pool Club..n beach access…spent evening here ( cost 9 to 10k for couple, ₹ 2400 for Dorms)💛 Day 3 – Café Hopping & Cliff Views Started the day with breakfast at the famous Kai Café, followed by a vegan lunch at Fruit Café..did secret beach in Mirissa In the evening, we went to Cliff Weligama .. the most magical sunset spot. Stayed there till late night 🌅 Day 4 – Beach Day & Hidden Gems a day trip covering Blue Island and Hiriketiya (a surfing paradise 🏄‍♀️). Breakfast at Bunch Café and lunch at Salt Café (vegan). Skipped Turtle Beach Day 5 – morning coffee at Plan B Cafe, then did coconut Palm Hill (insane views) some beach time. In evening, explored the viral lantern beach cafe “lava” in Mirissa Day 6 – Woke up at 5 AM for a safari (included breakfast 🐘)… then got dropped directly to Ella. Checked into Pepper hill cottage which had natural spring water pool ..₹2700 breakfast inc…..did 2 hours tea plantation tour n rest Day 7 – Ella (party capital of Srilanka) Morning …breakfast at cafe green door ,visited the Bali-style Ravana Pool Club,(₹3000 lunch inc)… hiked Little Adam’s Peak ,Sunset at 9 arch bridge ,night stroll Mall Road. Day8 :from Ella... took world’s most scenic 2.5 hours train ride to Ambewella,..visited Ashok Vatika where Maa sita was held captive... reached Kandy, stayed in skyloft kandy .. (₹4.5k)Huge infinity pool...enjoyed sunset here, next morning b4 leaving for the airport did Kandy lake, breakfast at banana chill.
