Ever wondered how some travellers frequently fly abroad for way less? It is actually simple. Before booking an international flight, check where it is cheapest from in your country. Recently I visited Sri Lanka and found that a flight from Kolkata would cost around 26K Rupees but from Chennai it was almost 10K rupees. Instead of booking directly from Kolkata, I took a train from Kolkata to Chennai for 4K rupees round trip and booked the flight from Chennai to Sri Lanka for 10K I saved around 12K rupees which I spent on experiences in Sri Lanka. This works for all international destinations. Check which city has the cheapest flight and book from there, and then take a train to that location.
