I was listening to this book The Secret Menu by Shiamin Kwa while cooking and while I came across these lines, it hit somewhere deep. It was just the other day my Dida ( granny) was talking about her childhood home in Bangladesh then it was part of India.How the memories came knocking on her door when she is losing touching with present and past.Things that she carried in her heart. : As her descendant, I try to understand how she still tries to hold onto her roots through these scrambled memories. : Loving the book so far.
