Helping my child sleep on his own 🌙 When Neil was about to turn six, we slowly started the transition of him sleeping in his own room. I didn’t want it to feel like a sudden change, so we explained why moving to his own bed would be useful and made it exciting for him. We created a little bedtime ritual — reading books together, adding his favorite toys and cushions, and making his room feel cozy and safe. On the first few nights, I stayed with him: lying down next to him, reading to him (and listening when he read back to me). Gradually, I reminded him that after the story, I would step out — and over time, it became easier for him to accept. Now, it’s been a few days that he has been sleeping independently 🛏️💤. Our routine looks like this: I drop him off in his room, we spend 20-30 minutes chatting about his day, do our little nighttime rituals, and then I step out. And the best part? He happily sleeps through the night on his own! Every child is different, but for us, a mix of patience, consistency, and a few helpful products really made the journey smoother. 💙 👉 If you’re going through this transition too, here are theproducts that helped us along the way.
