Did you know about this unique place near Udupi?? This is Hasta Shilpa Heritage Museum in Manipal. Have you ever felt that the moment you step inside a place and you are instantly transported back in time? This is exactly how you feel when you go here. Visiting here is like going through history all over again! With an entry fee of ₹300, you will get to go through around 24 restored heritage houses that belonged to olden times-Hindu Brahmin houses, Mangalorean Christian homes and even Bhatkal Muslim houses. Every corner at each home whispers stories of the past. The village takes you into India’s rich heritage, culture, supreme craftsmanship, and architecture. Witness and admire the beauty of 18 heritage houses from Malnad, South and North Canara, and a few from historical North Karnataka. The place is peaceful, calm and adorned with so many beautiful things to see. You will need atleast half a day to see the entire place! If you are a sucker for history and heritage, you will definitely love this!
