:: STAR THEATRE :: Day 73 - #ProjectKolkata . Location: Hatibagan, Kolkata . In the 1880s, Girish Chandra Ghosh pioneered theatrical productions at the Star Theatre. Swami Vivekananda convened a meeting there in 1898, introducing Sister Nivedita to the public, with notable figures like Sri Ramkrishna Paramahamsha, Rabindranath Tagore, and Vidyasagar in the audience. The Star, along with Minerva and The Classic Theatre, showcased the first Bengal motion pictures by Hira Lala Sen.
