A postgraduate, finally! 🎓 It fills me with joy and contentment as I finally earned an MA in Development Studies degree from TISS Mumbai. It's magical, definitely a thing of pride and utmost happiness. This degree is special to me. You ask, why? 🤓 Growing up, I was an above average student whose parents believed that education was the way out of mediocrity, of making something of your life. But I wasn't a brilliant chap. Just a normal child mugging up, writing answers, and getting decent grades. So when I was born, a very weird astrological prediction had it that I wouldn't be the one for education. With much difficulty, I would sail the boat of graduation and higher education was not on cards for me. This had my parents dreading it coming true. They wanted the best for me after all. But I was determined, as always, a stubborn person somehow believing in hope, to get things right. I knew I wanted more from myself, and I would get it anyhow. 🤠 After graduation, I tried my hands at competitive exams, made it to decent colleges, and again, out of nowhere let those chances slip by me. Because I believed that I could do better which well, I didn't. And my parents thought that the worst would happen, that I would really get nowhere. And that had disturbed me for the longest time! But then TISS happened and without a second thought, I packed my bags and moved to Mumbai. Surprisingly, I wasn't scared of being alone. In fact, in this big city of dreams, I found my freedom! 🤍 So when the convocation happened last weekend, I did miss the presence of my parents to share that happiness with me. But as I held that degree in my hands, I was bursting with happiness, and relief washed over me. I made it, finally! Against all that I grew up listening.🙏🏻 This degree has reinstated my faith in myself, and while I might not be very clear about the path ahead, I know, I will get there. Eventually. Surely :) Nothing can dim the light that shines from within. Absolutely, nothing. My resilience is my superpower, and I will make sure I live up to its magic ✨ 🧿♾️🧿
