One of the best Japanese food experiences in Bengaluru! 🇯🇵🍜🍣 Ever craved authentic Tokyo vibes in Bangalore? 🍣 I found a slice of Japan right here in Indiranagar that blew me away! Katana (@katanablore), nestled in Indiranagar, Bengaluru, is a cozy new Japanese izakaya (think casual gastropub) that combines fine dining quality with a fun, laid-back vibe. Warm wood interiors, raw textures, and soft lighting made me feel like I’d stepped into a Tokyo hideout. It’s a conceptual dining experience unlike any other! As a sushi lover, I was in heaven exploring their small plates menu. 😍 We tried their delicious corn custard, a refreshing pickled watermelon salad with tangy tiger’s milk, and more. 🍱 Each dish was a piece of gourmet art – bursting with flavor (so much umami!) yet presented with modern flair. It felt like Japanese street food classics reimagined for a luxury setting! And here’s a highlight for my halal-friendly friends: though Katana is known for its sake and cocktails, I stuck to their creative mocktails 🍹 and had zero FOMO. 🙌 I don’t drink alcohol, but I could still enjoy the full experience without any booze. Their zero-alcohol drinks were on point and paired perfectly with all those Japanese flavors! This Indiranagar gem is perfect for a date night, a fancy dinner with friends, or anyone who loves eating out and exploring new restaurants. 💕✨ Whether you’re looking for a dining experience, Japanese food, or a unique izakaya experience, Katana has you covered with its blend of tradition and modern gourmet twists. I’m already dreaming of my next visit – one night here wasn’t enough! 🥢🍜 They have 2-3 pork dishes in the menu but it’s cooked and kept separate. I would say avoid Gyozas to be 100% safe.
