✨Lazy Sunday Afternoons | Episode 44: A Getaway Brunch At Mulberry Shades. @mulberryshadesbengaluru I kicked off my lazy Sunday morning with a drive out of Bangalore up to Nandi Hills, and let me tell you—it was the perfect summer staycation reboot! 🌞 Nestled in the hills just outside the city, Mulberry Shades is a dreamy resort vibe from check-in onward. We explored the lush propertyand settled in for an epic poolside Sunday brunch at Terra. The brunch buffet was insane: from smoky grilled chicken and aromatic kababs to fresh mezze platters and crisp salads, every bite was a delight 😋. I couldn’t resist the cute little amuse-bouche bites or the live chaat station—pani puri and golgappa galore! For dessert it was all about creamy baked yogurt, hazelnut coffee tarts and local sweets like Mysore Pak and sweet Bella Pappu. But the best part? Terra was hosting the “From Coorg with Flavor” food festival, so we dove into Coorgi specialties. We devoured crispy Rawa Fried Fish, fiery Koli Saaru (chicken curry) and tangy Meen Gassi (fish curry), plus hearty Kadala Curry (black chickpeas) and creamy Mutton Saaru. Everything was served with fluffy neer dosa, pillowy kadambuttu (rice dumplings) and spicy pappu (lentils) — it truly felt like a mini Coorg getaway on our plates. We even tried a tangy Mango Curry on the side. Plus, brunch includes pool access—so of course I dove into the refreshing pool right after. 💦 Sipping a cool drink by the water, with family and friends splashing around, it was the ultimate relaxing Sunday social. This place is a family-friendly paradise, perfect for weekend getaways or a long drive escape from Bangalore.
