Are you going to Iceland? 🇮🇸 These are my kind of diamonds 💎 Okay, it’s actually not called that. If you’re curious about its real Icelandic name, it’s Fellsfjara. But most people know it as Diamond Beach, a name that’s stuck for good reason. This black sand beach is scattered with chunks of icebergs that have broken off from the nearby glacier. They float through the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, then get washed ashore by the tide, sparkling like diamonds on the volcanic sand. How cool is that?! Sometimes the icebergs are massive. And during sunset? They literally glow and glitter. Do you like the poetic local names or the tourist-friendly ones?
