As a new mother, the actress had requested an 8-hour shift, which would have translated to about 6 hours of shoot time. After she was removed, Triptii Dimri reportedly replaced her. Now, as reports mentioned that the actress was set to return from her break to reprise her role in the sequel to Kalki, producers revealed that the actress is not part of the project. Deepika has been the lead character in the movie, and her exit surely left everyone wondering what might have led the actress to quit. Production house Vyjayanthi Movies recently dropped an announcement post stating that the actress will not be part of the sequel. Netizens have mixed reactions to this announcement, and while some remain disappointed that Deepika will not reprise her role, others suggest alternative actresses' names, such as Mrunal Thakur and Kreethy Suresh, among others. The announcement post seemed a little salty to Deepika's fans, as it mentioned that the movie deserves commitment.
