They Called It Poor People’s Food. We Called It Chingri Matha Bata. They called it poor people’s food. But in our home, this was the real gold on the plate. Chingri Matha Bata a bold, fiery mash made from prawn heads, mustard oil, green chillies, and love. What some throw away, we turn into flavour. A dish that holds memory, pride, and the kind of taste that can finish a full plate of rice. This isn’t a side dish. It’s a quiet revolution from Bengal’s kitchens. Let’s bring back what shouldn’t be forgotten. Watch till the end and tell me would you eat this?
