Not my birthday just yet… but with 47 in just a couple of weeks away, I found myself reflecting a little earlier this time. 47 isn’t a number I was ever excited about… yet somehow, it’s turning out to be one of my most defining years. This year held up a mirror — quietly, honestly — showing me truths that were always there, but needed time, strength, and stillness to truly see. It taught me that growth isn’t loud; it’s deeply personal, often uncomfortable, and incredibly powerful. I learned to stand up for what’s right, even when it’s not easy. I learned that choosing myself isn’t selfish — it’s necessary. I learned to let go of what never deserved my time, energy, or heart. This year, I grew — not just as a person, but as a mother, a friend, and most importantly, for myself. Watching Kyra evolve into a more responsible, creative, and aware individual has been one of my greatest joys. Seeing her understand the value of discipline, balance, and growth reminds me that the best lessons are not just taught, they are lived. Life also surprised me with beautiful souls — friends who are honest, kind, and carry the purest intentions. The kind of people who make life feel lighter and more meaningful. And somewhere along the way, I found a stronger version of myself — more driven, more focused, more committed to becoming healthier, better, and more aligned with who I truly am. So no, 47 may not be my favorite number… but it’s already giving me something far greater — clarity, courage, and a deeper sense of self.
