India cricketer Hardik Pandya has come under legal scrutiny after a Pune-based advocate filed a complaint at Shivaji Nagar police station, alleging that he disrespected the Indian national flag during India’s T20 World Cup victory celebrations at Narendra Modi Stadium. According to the complaint, Hardik was seen celebrating with the tricolour draped over his shoulders while dancing and later lying down beside his alleged girlfriend during the on-field celebrations, which the complainant claims violates the dignity of the national flag under the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971.
