Skincare Myths you need to stop believing — MYTH 1: Alcohols and Parabens in skincare products are bad, TRUTH: Alcohol is used to lighten the texture of the product which helps with better penetration of other skincare ingredients into the skin. They also help with preserving the product. Parabens are added to protect the formulation against microbial. They are most tested preservative and considered SAFE! MYTH 2: Natural Skincare is better TRUTH: Natural or Organic doesn’t ensure healthier, safer, or better for your skin. MYTH 3: Physical sunscreens work better than chemical sunscreens TRUTH: The new chemical filters absorbs UV much better and therefore can give better protection. MYTH 4: Niacinamide and Vitamin C can’t be used together. TRUTH: They work very well together. But for some people this combination can be too much. Especially sensitive skin. So be careful and patch test first. MYTH 5: Physical exfoliation is bad for your skin. TRUTH: There are gentle physical scrubs (like peeling gels) which helps to exfoliate skin and shows immediate results. MYTH 6: Drinking more water will cure acne. TRUTH: Drinking sufficient amount of water is important for sooooo many reasons so no debate there! But when it comes to the relation between water and skin, then there is no scientific evidence that water will improve one’s skin for sure. #skincaremyths #skincaremistakes #skincaretips #fearmongering #greenwashing
