However there’s a little issue with Lunamo…let me explain. After seeing Lunamo all over Instagram, Priyanka and I finally gave in to the hype to see what the place was all about. The moment we stepped inside, we understood why it’s going viral. A beautifully restored heritage building has been transformed into a four-storey café, lounge and bar, with every floor offering a different vibe, from cosy café corners and a lively bar to private dining spaces, party floors and a rooftop hookah section. The place is massive, and there’s even an elevator connecting all the floors. The menu features a mix of Asian, Continental, Indian and café favourites. My recommendations: 🥟 Cream Cheese Dim Sum 🍱 Chicken Teriyaki Asian Bowl 🍣 Prawn Tempura Sushi Now, coming back to what bothered me. The place is extremely crowded, so getting a table without a reservation can be difficult. I’d recommend booking a table around 12 PM for a much smoother experience. Also, the kitchen closes at 4 PM before reopening later, something many people aren’t aware of. Since the property is still new, we noticed a couple of order mix-ups and a slightly longer wait for the food. Thankfully, the wait doesn’t feel boring. The property is so spacious that you can place your order, explore the different floors, admire the interiors, click pictures, and return to your table just as the food arrives. If you’re driving, definitely use the valet parking. Parking on that lane can be quite a challenge. Overall, I think Lunamo absolutely deserves the hype. Like any new place, it’s going through a few teething issues, but the ambience, scale and overall experience make it well worth a visit. 📍Lunamo, 32D, Sarat Bose Rd, Rafiganj, Chakraberia, Ballygunge, Kolkata, West Bengal 700020 #lunamo #newcafe #kolkatacafe #lunamoreview
