POV: You’re an Indian mom about to take a 2-day train journey with your baby girl… and your anxiety is packing faster than your bags 😅🚆 • Will she sleep in a moving train or stay up the entire night crying? • What if she gets uncomfortable and I can’t figure out why? • How will I manage feeding in a crowded coach? 🍼 • Diaper changes in a train washroom… HOW?! • What if she falls sick mid-journey? 😭 • Did I pack enough clothes… or too much? • What if I run out of diapers/wipes? • What if the train gets delayed and everything gets messed up? • Managing luggage + baby + myself… is that even humanly possible? • That Delhi station change… what if I miss the next train? • Navigating a crowded platform alone with a baby… heart in my throat the whole time • What if she cries and people around start judging? • What if someone gives unsolicited advice when I’m already overwhelmed? • Will I even get a chance to eat properly? • Will I get 5 minutes to just sit and breathe? • What if she gets bored and cranky with the same surroundings? • What if I lose something important in the chaos? • What if the train washroom is too dirty to even step in? • What if I don’t feel “in control” at all? • What if I break down in the middle of it all… And still… I’ll board that train. Because she trusts me… and I’m learning to trust myself too ❤️ Motherhood isn’t fearless.
