▶️ Which childhood book still feels like home to you? Champak has been a huge part of my childhood. Every time we travelled, I made sure to pick up a Champak from the nearest stall at the railway platform, and I would spend the journey reading all the stories. Those stories unknowingly taught us so many things- right from learning about nature and kindness to understanding emotions, relationships, values, and life itself. Looking back now, I genuinely feel that if there had been no Champak during those years, I probably would never have become a reader. Reading Stories That Celebrate India after all these years felt nostalgic and comforting. It instantly took me down memory lane while reminding me why these tales continue to feel timeless for both children and adults. This collection brings together sixteen beautifully written stories centered around India’s culture, values, festivals, iconic personalities, and meaningful everyday lessons. The book explores themes like Republic Day celebrations, Raksha Bandhan, Dussehra, freedom, kindness, responsibility, and inspiring figures like A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and Jawaharlal Nehru. What makes these stories truly special is the way they present life through a child’s perspective. The book beautifully captures how children observe the world around them, learn from adults, absorb values, and try to apply those lessons in their own innocent yet thoughtful ways.
