Rereading this one again. ✨ I first read The Palace of Illusions back in 2018. And somehow, in 2026, I know this story is going to meet a completely different version of me. Some books change with time. Or maybe… we do. This one has always been precious to me, but rereading it now feels less like revisiting a story and more like coming back home. I ordered a new copy because I couldn’t bring myself to open my old copy again - the notes, the underlines, the version of me living inside those pages… I just wasn’t ready to witness her again.
