Visiting the Rajgundha valley after 2 years felt deeply nostalgic. So much has changed, but sadly, not for the better. The peace and beauty that this place once held, now feels lost under rapid construction and careless human activity. Trees have been cut down to build hotels and commercial spaces. Forests are shrinking. The air feels so different. The glaciers are melting rapidly. The silence of nature has been replaced by noise and congestion. Places like these are not meant to be exploited endlessly in the name of tourism and development. The ecosystem is fragile. And, once it is destroyed, it does not return easily. An ecosystem does not recover by simply planting a few trees. It takes years, sometimes decades, for nature to rebuild the balance that was destroyed. It’s heartbreaking and extremely painful to watch such beautiful valleys slowly lose their soul because of human benefits(which is actually a loss) and lack of responsibility.
