Serolsar Lake lies near Jalori Pass in the Kullu district. It sits at about 3,100 meters and is reached by a 5 km forest trek one way. What makes it special The lake stays clean and still. Locals say birds help keep it clear by picking up leaves from the water. Dense oak and pine forests surround it. History and belief The lake is linked to the local deity Budhi Nagin. A small temple stands beside the lake. People believe the goddess protects the water and the nearby villages. For centuries, villagers have treated the lake as sacred. Rituals and small fairs take place here, especially in summer.
