This is what Kashmir looks like right now. I have this core memory from when I was a kid. There was this poster in my Dad's hospital waiting room, you know? One of those three-panel pictures. I used to stare at it and wonder if a place that beautiful was even real or just a painting. I asked my mom about it, and she said, "That's Kashmir in the fall." And from that day, I just knew I had to see it. So when we finally planned our first trip, I was like, we HAVE to go in autumn. I needed to see those colors for myself. But we got so, so lucky. Not only did we see the whole valley turn golden, but we also experienced our very first snowfall in Gulmarg on the same trip!! A childhood dream come true, and then some. Seriously, when are you planning your trip to this paradise? Send this to your travel partner to give them a clue ;)
