I surrender all my traumas at their feet .. praying for healing and peace for my 2026 ❤️ Kunjapuri Temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. Although some call it a Siddhh Peeth . According to beliefs , after Sati Maa’s self-immolation, Lord Shiva carried her body in grief and rage . To restore cosmic balance, Lord Vishnu had to cut Sati Maa’s body with his Sudarshan Chakra. At Kunjapuri Mata Mandir, Sati Maa’s kunchika (upper chest/heart region) is believed to have fallen. Hence the name Kunjapuri (from kunch). The presiding deity here is Goddess Durga, worshipped as Kunjapuri Devi, symbolizing strength, protection, and feminine power.
