The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) will organise a job mela at Navuluru on May 4 to provide employment opportunities for youth and unemployed persons in the Amaravati capital region. The recruitment drive, being held under the guidance of municipal administration minister Dr Ponguru Narayana, will take place at the Community Hall in Navuluru–Makkevaripeta from 9 am to 6 pm. APCRDA social development officials said the mela is being conducted in association with e-commerce major Flipkart to recruit candidates for packing and scanning divisions in and around Vijayawada. Both men and women who have completed at least Class 10 are eligible to apply. Selected candidates will be offered salaries ranging from Rs 13,000 to Rs 15,000 per month along with PF and ESI benefits. Work shifts for women will be from 6 am to 3 pm and 9 am to 6 pm, while for men the shifts will be from 2 pm to 11 pm and 10 pm to 7 am. In addition to regular jobs, internship and apprenticeship opportunities will be available for candidates pursuing or having completed Intermediate, diploma, degree and B.Tech courses. Candidates aged between 18 and 22 years are eligible for internships of two to six months with a monthly stipend of `15,100. Officials said candidates may be considered for permanent roles based on performance. Apprenticeship positions also offer a monthly stipend of Rs 15,100, with prospects for future employment. Officials said more than 100 vacancies are expected to be filled through the mela.
