Chiang Mai is one of those places that doesn’t try too hard… but still stays with you. Walk inside the Old City and you’ll come across places like Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Singh—not as tourist spots, but as a part of everyday life. But what I loved most? The balance. One moment you’re sitting in a really good café, the next you’re chasing sunsets near Doi Suthep, looking at the entire city from above. And unlike Bangkok, nothing here feels rushed. You don’t feel the need to “cover” things.
