I’m sitting here today, and I honestly still can’t believe it’s been sixteen years since we said “I do.” They say time flies when you’re happy, but with you, it’s more than that- it’s been a transformation. Growing up in our girls-only family, life was defined by boundaries. I was always told how to dress, where I couldn’t go, and that I always needed permission to just be. But then I married you, and for the first time in my life, I learned the true meaning of freedom. You didn’t just give me a home; you gave me wings. You read my heart and understood its silent whispers before I even knew how to speak them myself. You taught me how to dream big, to reach for the stars, and to do it without fearing anyone or anything. Thank you for the way you love me. Thank you for taking care of me like a baby whenever I’m sick, and for pampering me so completely even when there’s no special occasion. Whether it’s surprising me with my favorite food or our simple, precious coconut dates every noon—those moments are my world. Even now, after all these years, when I hear you call out, “Nisha, can we go out?” my heart skips a beat with that same rush of joy I felt before we were even married. I see the way you provide for me, getting me things without ever glancing at a price tag because you know how much I try to save every single penny I earn . But more than that, I see your character. Even when we have those small fights at home, you stand by me. You show me respect in moments when others might walk away. In sixteen years, no matter how mad you’ve been, you have never once raised your voice or your hand at me. People call that the “bare minimum,” but I know how rare and precious a heart like yours truly is. Thank you for being my constant, my protector, and my best friend forever.
