18 months of Motherhood and Motherhood! As parents we did not know what a father does or what should be defined as a father’s duty so we just got down to business and took turns to almost do everything we could for our twins. Apart from the natural human restraints, my man did almost everything. So I call @ankitdubey132 a surrogate, ad-hoc mother, been the best human who could replace me. It’s been 18 months since WE became mothers. It hasn’t been easy. There were days we have cried more than our babies, nights we stayed awake staring at the ceiling wondering if we were doing anything right, and mornings when exhaustion felt heavier than our bodies could carry. My family has been part of this journey too. Both the set of parents were my strength and support at all times, barring few when and they couldn’t understand my hows and whys, my impatience and impulsiveness. I can’t say I’ve figured it all out, because I haven’t. It has been one of the most learning 1.5 years and one should definitely have a degree or an upskilling certificate. Every day still feels like a new test, a new lesson. But one thing I know for sure, these 18 months have changed us forever. We’ve lost parts of ourselves and also found stronger, braver, and more loving versions of us. P.S.- Sharing my childhood here only because WE don’t have any non-blurry, non-hazy photos with our toddlers! #18months #Halfwaytotwo
