My latest visit to JAGS in Jaipur at @jags.show and conversation with Shri Gautam Kumar Dak, the Minister of State for Cooperative and Civil Aviation in Rajasthan, reinforced the confidence and optimism surrounding the gems and jewellery industry. The Rajasthan government is keenly supporting the gems and jewellery sector. Along with the central government, the focus remains strongly on exports to ensure positive growth for the industry. Jaipur, my favourite city, is known for its thriving gems and jewellery ecosystem and its exceptional Kundan, Polki, and Jadau craftsmanship. It is important to keep this heritage alive to support the livelihood of thousands of artisans. He also shared how Polki is now being noticed not just in Indian masterpieces, but in international creations as well.
