What’s stopping you from taking your first solo trip? Be honest. 5 years ago, I took my first ever solo trip. Shoja, Himachal. Breakup ke baad dimag hil gaya tha. Everyone said — “Akeli ladki kahin jaake kya karegi?” But I didn’t want answers. I just wanted space to breathe. I left to escape a situation… but ended up finding a version of myself I didn’t even know existed. Diwali kisi hotel mein nahi — ek pahadi family ke saath manayi. Strangers became friends. I cried while leaving… jaise kisi rishtedaar ke ghar se vidaai ho rahi ho. It was chaotic, emotional, peaceful — all at once. And no, I didn’t come back with a ring, or a “what a beautiful soul he was” kind of love story. I came back with clarity. Confidence. And the realisation that healing doesn’t always need people — sometimes it just needs distance. So if you’re waiting for someone to join you before you travel… Don’t. If you’re waiting for permission, If you’re waiting to “settle down” first, Or for society to clap for you for being in 30s and “still unmarried” — Let them wait. You? Just go. Take that trip. Heal your way. Live your way. Because honestly — what’s more dangerous than a woman who knows how to be happy alone? Comment ‘SOLO STARTER’ if you need help planning your first trip.
