Moisturisers with SPF can be used as a sunscreen? Definitely! Any product with SPF can be used as a sunscreen as they all go through same lab tests to determine the SPF rating. However, there’s a catch. To get adequate sun protection you need to apply appropriate amount of that product. Therefore, through makeup products like foundation, you cannot get proper sun protection because you cannot use that much product. Imagine applying 1/4 tablespoon of foundation on your face; that would be too much! But you can use 1/4 tablespoon of moisturiser. I have personally tried two moisturisers with SPF 30: (a) Episoft AC Moisturiser (b) Avene Day Protector UV EX Perfect for indoors! (As I would prefer and recommend SPF 50 for outdoors)
