Have you heard of Bull Race in West Bengal? 🤔The bull race in Bengal is called MoiChara.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Moi Chara is a centuries-old tradition still popular in the villages of South 24 Parganas. The word get its name from the fact that bulls are attached to a wooden frame or a moi .⁣⁣ ⁣ 🚫 No Repost or Sharing without Permission 🚫⁣ ⁣⁣ The festival of Moi Chara happens every year before the onset of the harvesting season.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ There are be two format of races in Moi Chhara :⁣⁣ a. The fastest pair of the bulls wins the race and the run is timed.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ b. Two pairs compete against each other in a race and whoever finishes the race first is a winner.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Many of these Bulls are not used for farming rather taken care for the entire year for these races.
