Have you heard of Bull Race in West Bengal? The bull race in Bengal is called MoiChara.⁣ ⁣ Moi Chara is a centuries-old tradition still popular in the villages of South 24 Parganas. The word get its name from the fact that bulls are attached to a wooden frame or a moi .⁣ ⁣ The festival of Moi Chara happens every year before the onset of the harvesting season.⁣ ⁣ There could be two format :⁣ a. The fastest pair of the bulls wins the race and the run is timed.⁣ ⁣ b. Two pairs compete against each other in a race and whoever finishes the race first is a winner.⁣ ⁣ Many of these Bulls are not used for farming rather taken care for the entire year for these races.
