I can’t believe it’s been two whole decades since Jhumpa Lahiri penned her debut novel - The Interpreter of Maladies. I’ve always loved short stories right from when I used to obsess over the blue and white covered Ruskin Bond novel I found in my middle school library as a curious child. This book won the Pulitzer in 2000, and I’m so pleasantly shocked to see how relevant all the social themes in these stories are and how accessible the language is to an average English language speaker. I don’t know why it took to me so long to pick something to read by Lahiri, but I’m so glad I did. I feel like I can’t ever go back again 📖 | 📸: @mrajcok
