Last month, was actually my first time at TATR! A forest that is riddled with conflict, deeming with wildlife and one of the areas with a high number of wildlife roadkills. While my intention was just to take a break before the storm that comes with December - January deadlines in our line of work, I was witness to two things that caught my eye - one roadkills are a bigger problem than you or I realise and need our urgent attention. And two - how ridiculously easy and effective it is when the departments enforce laws with respect to tourists in wild spaces. Anyone who has been to Tadoba, knows that phones are not allowed in the forests. And you’d think it’s only because of the loud noise from those devices but it is also to reduce the risk tourists put themselves in by doing video calls and taking selfies with the tigers and other wildlife residents. I was so impressed by how strict they are with it. So much to learn from each one of our forests! One rule at a time 🐅🐯 @pass.crossingforests Thank you for making it happen @bhairavi_shrivastav and great job @mahaforestofficial
