We decided from the very beginning, no designers, no fancy setups, no shortcuts. Just the two of us. Our pace, our choices, and a whole lot of chai-fuelled discussions. We roamed through the markets of Ahmedabad and Surat, sat on 17 sofas, tested 20 beds, compared wood tones till everything blurred… and debated curtain colours like it was a life decision😂 Slowly, piece by piece, our home started taking shape. Not Pinterest-perfect. Not showroom-ready. But perfect for us. Every corner holds a memory. The one-lakh sofa we left behind (but still talk about). The lamp we found after 3 hours in the sun. The dining table we almost didn’t buy. And that rug… finally, something we both liked without debating 😅 It all started with a dream and ended with 0 bank balance 😃😃 Budget? What budget? We just kept saying, “Last cheez le rahe hain, bas!”… 10 times in a row. 😄 And yes — the budget kept running away faster than we could say “save karo!” But honestly? It was all worth it. Because building this home together — with love, patience, endless snacks, and chai breaks —felt like building a life. A real one. Filled with small joys, little stories, and the kind of peace you can’t buy. That’s the true meaning of happiness.
