Whether it’s cutting someone off in a conversation, dominating a team discussion, taking over a shared moment, or — like in my case — unintentionally stepping into someone’s physical space while recording a reel… we all do it sometimes. Not out of malice, but because we’re wrapped up in our own thoughts, goals, or plans. In that moment, I was so focused on framing my shot, fixing my hair, syncing the reel — I didn’t even notice I had intruded on someone else’s space. When I looked up and realised it, I felt a wave of guilt. I stopped, turned to her, and apologised. She smiled gently and nodded, and it was done. But that moment stayed with me. Because real growth isn’t about never making mistakes — it’s about noticing when we do, acknowledging it, and choosing kindness over ego. This is just one of those small, silent life lessons that humbles you, if you let it. And to the lady I unintentionally stepped in front of — If you ever come across this, I hope you accept my apology once again.
