We often debate about corruption and the government. But what about us and our fellow citizens? We lack civic sense. We don’t follow rules. We risk our own lives and our family’s lives. We make beautiful places dirty. We litter and waste resources. We take shortcuts without caring about the risks. And then we complain about bad drainage — which might be caused by the plastic we ourselves threw. We talk about corruption — but we encourage it whenever it suits us. We talk about road accidents — many of which happen due to our own negligence. If you truly want change, change yourself first
