It might seem like a small thing. But this tiny mistake can lead to life-altering consequences. A helmet is not a cap. You can’t just plant it on your head and ride off. Nope. A helmet only works if it’s strapped properly. Thread the strap through the D-rings, loop it back, and secure it tight. Then check it. Tug it once. Tug it twice. Make sure it’s snug under your chin. Because in a crash, an unstrapped helmet can fly off in a fraction of a second. At that point, it’s basically useless. The rule is simple - If the bike wheels are turning, the strap stays locked.
