Outside of automotive and motorcycling, everyday life introduces you to people who carry a wealth of experience. Most of them keep it to themselves, which is absolutely fine, no judgement. Some are open to sharing it. And a very rare few know how to share it well. When you meet those people, absorb everything you can. Like a sponge. There is absolutely no doubt that @birchynz is an exceptional rider, a multiple-time champion across different disciplines. But what struck me even more was the human being behind the helmet. I’m not a fan of many people. My list of heroes is very small. But Chris has earned his place there. Not because of what he has achieved in the world of two wheels, but because of the person he comes across as. He never said no to anything, communicated with clarity and precision, and remained incredibly humble through it all. Most importantly, he was always up for a conversation with anyone who rode a motorcycle. This is what passion looks like in its purest form. For many people, passion fades quickly once the novelty wears off. But Chris’s approach to both work and life felt unwavering.
