I come from a time when choosing dance wasn’t always encouraged or understood. I pursued my education, built my career in law, cleared competitive exams, and carried the weight of expectations from family and society. Dance came into first in my life something I chose purely out of love. When I finally started sharing my dance on social media, the criticism followed. People questioned how an advocate should behave, commented on my body, and told me what I should or shouldn’t do. But I still chose to dance. And slowly, that passion found its space I gained recognition, appreciation, and a voice. With time, the spotlight faded. Life took its own course, and an accident paused what I loved the most. Today, I may not be able to dance the way I once did but the passion hasn’t gone anywhere. It’s still within me. And I know, one day, I will return to it not to prove anything to anyone, but simply because it’s a part of who I am. Happy International Dance Day 💃 💃
