If your skin stings, turns red easily, reacts to random products, or flares up with weather changes — chances are, it’s sensitive. But here’s the truth: Sensitive skin is not problematic. It’s just reactive, and needs a bit more patience, consistency, and support. That’s it. As someone who lives with sensitive skin, here are some of the biggest mistakes I used to make (and what I do differently now): ✨ Over-exfoliating in the name of glow ✨ Using way too many actives together ✨ Layering too fast without breaks ✨ Assuming that skipping moisturizer or sunscreen will “calm it down” (it won’t) What helps instead? 🧴 Gentle cleanser — No fragrance, no fluff. Simple Kind to Skin Cleanser and CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser are my go-tos. 💧 Barrier-repair moisturizer — I love Simple Water Boost Gel (light but hydrating) and CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion for day or night. ☀️ Sunscreen — Always, but make it skin-friendly. The Simple UV Fluid and Sulvaso UV Daily Fluid have been working beautifully for me — no white cast, no irritation, no stickiness. The biggest shift? When I stopped trying to fix my skin and started understanding what it needs. Give it comfort, not confusion. That’s when things change. 🧠 This is not expert advice.
