
Chingri Bati Chochori 🍤🥔 Ditch the boring lunch! Today's dabba is packed with this stunning, authentic Bengali classic. No water added—just pure, steamed goodness in one pot. 🍚🥜 Prep: Prawns 🍤: Wash and thoroughly dry approx 250g prawns. Marinate with a pinch of salt and half of the total turmeric powder. Set aside. Potato Prep 🥔: Peel 2 medium potatoes and cut them into precise, uniform edges (jhuri alu style). Aromatics: 🧅 Slice 1 large onion, 🍅 1 tomato, and 🌶️ 2 green chilies. Combine: The Mix 🥣: In a bowl, combine potato edges, sliced tomato, green chilies, cilantro, red chili powder, remaining turmeric powder, salt, and 1 Tbsp. mustard oil. Add the Chingri: Gently add the marinated prawns to the veggie mix. Crucial Standing Time (10 mins): Let the mixture stand for exactly 10 minutes. The moisture needs to release! DO NOT SKIP! The Cook: Zero Water Cook 🔥: Add the entire combined prawn mixture in a tiffin box. Now put the box in a kadai or pressure cooker and cover the lid.
