Devprayag is a small Himalayan town in Uttarakhand where two powerful rivers — Alaknanda and Bhagirathi — meet to officially form the sacred River Ganga. 🌊 The Confluence (Sangam) • The greenish Alaknanda flows from the Satopanth glacier region. • The darker Bhagirathi originates from the Gangotri glacier. • At Devprayag, these two rivers visibly merge, and from this exact point onward, the river is known as Ganga.
