Shimla Diary — Day 2 🏔️ There is a certain kind of sadness that only mountains understand. Not the loud kind that breaks down in front of people… but the silent kind you carry while smiling, walking, talking, living normally. The kind that stays hidden beneath responsibilities, ambitions, conversations, and crowded cities. And somehow, Shimla makes that silence feel seen. Today, while standing among these old buildings and endless skies, I realized how tired the human heart becomes from constantly pretending to be okay. We spend years chasing success, people, validation, and expectations, believing peace is waiting somewhere ahead… only to discover that peace was never a destination. It was always a state of mind we forgot to protect. The mountains don’t heal you instantly. They simply sit beside your pain without judging it. Maybe that is why places like this feel emotional. Because away from noise, your thoughts finally become louder than notifications. You start remembering the version of yourself that existed before the world taught you to overthink everything. Day 2 in Shimla felt less like travelling and more like reconnecting with parts of myself I had abandoned in the chaos of life. The cold air, the quiet roads, the stillness of these historic walls — everything here carries a strange reminder: that time moves on, people change, memories fade… but the soul always longs for places where it can breathe honestly. And for the first time in a long while, I felt no pressure to impress anyone. Just grateful to exist under this sky, in this moment, with a calmer heart than yesterday.
