Day 1 — Shimla. There’s something strange about mountains. They don’t chase anyone, don’t prove anything, don’t compete with the world… yet people travel miles just to sit quietly in their presence. And somewhere between the cold winds, the silent roads, and the fading sunlight behind the hills, I realized how exhausted we become trying to be everything at once. Shimla didn’t just give me views today. It gave me perspective. The city moves slowly here, as if life itself is asking you to pause for a moment and look around. The tall trees, the mist covering the roads, the old buildings carrying stories of decades — everything here feels patient. And maybe that’s the lesson mountains teach best: not everything beautiful happens fast. We spend so much of our lives rushing toward success, validation, people, destinations… but the mountains remind you that stillness is also a form of growth. Sometimes healing looks like sitting quietly, watching clouds move without explaining your silence to anyone. Today I learned that peace isn’t found in noise, luxury, or crowded places. Sometimes peace is just cold air touching your face while your mind slowly stops fighting itself.
